Winner of the Montreux Jazz Festival's "Grand Prix du Disque", Micheal and Kevin recorded this duo album in Dublin in the late 1970's,  while still members of the Bothy Band. Promenade has been called "one of the finest duets ever recorded in Irish traditional music". Their sound, "unrushed, detailed, spellbindingly beautiful, yet still pulsing with vitality", was referred to by the Irish Echo as "soulful finesse".
